Netview Distribution Manager Agent For Windows
Many enterprises use IBM/Tivoli’s NetView Distribution Manager to manage and distribute files and
software to their remote outlets. These outlets are increasingly
using PCs running UNIX.
Metaswitch’s NetView/Distribution Manager Agent (NDM-A) product,
included in the SNAP-IX product, allows them to continue to use the IBM NetView
Distribution Manager product at the head office and communicate with their
outlet PCs in a familiar, well proven manner.
NDM-A communicates with NetView DM
to provide the following functions:
- retrieve
file to the host
- send file to
the PC
- create file
- delete file
- send
operator message.
NDM-A supports restart of a failed transmission from the point of failure.
