You can affect the way your terminal appears and functions during 3270 emulation by choosing parameters from the Customize menu and then modifying them. This menu provides options for customizing the following:
Sessions (both display and printer)
Display colors
Language used by the host
Assignment of functions to keys
Miscellaneous options (audible signals, and status line display mode)
If you are using the character-based version of the 3270 emulation program, the Language support option is not selectable if you did not use the (international) option when starting the program; for more information about command-line options when starting the program, see Getting Started with 3270 Emulation.
The first time you customize the 3270 emulation program, review each parameter to determine whether you need to change it. You may need to change from the default values and assignments to accommodate your setup and circumstances.
Changes to one parameter may affect others. To avoid problems, set the options in order as follows:
If your Solaris computer and your terminal support color, and you want to use it during 3270 emulation, set the Use Color option in the Miscellaneous dialog box before customizing colors.
Set the correct host language before customizing key mappings.
If you want to keep your customization settings and use them again, remember to save them to a style file. For more information, see Opening a Style File, Creating a New Style File, and Saving a Style File.
