To install and remove SNAP-IX, use the pkgadd and pkgrm commands. All commands must be issued as root.
The SNAP-IX package names are as follows:
SNAP-IX node installation.
License for the SNAP-IX node.
You need to install the license before the product will start. A temporary license is provided on the delivery CD; if this license expires, a new temporary license can be requested from SNAP-IX support. When you purchase the software, you will be sent a permanent license. When installing a new license for use with your existing SNAP-IX installation, you need only install the new license; there is no need to reinstall the main product.
There are different versions of the snapix package, depending on the version of SNAP-IX. The readme file on the CD gives specific and detailed instructions on the installation for that disk. Please read it carefully.
To check which packages are installed, use the following command:
pkginfo | grep SNAP-IX
To find out details of the SNAP-IX package, use the following command:
pkginfo -l snapix
