London, UK: July 25, 2005. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's leading
independent provider of communications protocol software, today announced that it has
licensed DC-OSPF software to Photonic Bridges for use in their MetroWave™ product family.
DC-OSPF is part of Data Connection's IP routing software suite which includes DC-BGP,
DC-ISIS, and DC-RIP, all of which can be integrated with DC-MPLS to form a complete integrated
solution for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Founded in 1981, Data Connection has developed routing code for a variety of technologies
for over 20 years. The portable protocol stacks, which are pre-integrated with all the
major operating systems, provide undeniable reductions in cost and time to market when
compared to internal development. Furthermore the solutions are backed by Data

customer support.
"Data Connection is the only provider of portable routing protocols that
offers innovative and quality products backed by a stable and self-sufficient
corporation with over 20 years of history," said Phil McConnell, CEO of Data
Connection. "OEM vendors around the world, including Photonic Bridges, have
taken notice and this is why we are experiencing substantial growth in our routing
protocol market share."
"Implementing DC-OSPF routing into MetroWave™ allowed us to
incorporate a fully functional and proven solution into our product family
while dramatically reducing our time to market," said Harrison Zou,
vice president of Research & Development at Photonic Bridges. "The
product benefits combined with assurance that Data Connection will be with us
for many years to come made our decision a straight forward one."
