Data Connection Protocol Software Utilized by Ciena, Huawei and Fujitsu at OIF Demo at SUPERCOMM 2005
Chicago, IL: June 6, 2005. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's
leading independent provider of communications protocol software, today announced
that its protocol solutions are being employed within products participating
in the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) demo at SUPERCOMM 2005. As a leader
in IP routing, MPLS and optical control plane software, Data Connection supports
the latest versions of OIF's UNI 2.0 and E-NNI signaling and routing implementations,
equipping OEMs with the ability to interoperate with the most advanced features
in optical networking.
Customers of Data Connection demonstrating at SUPERCOMM 2005 include Ciena,
Fujitsu, and Huawei. They are participating in the OIF Worldwide Interoperability
Demonstration, which spans across seven interconnected carrier labs around the
world.

OIF's World Interoperability Demonstration 2005
The Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) is sponsoring the industry's second
international joint carrier, multi-vendor optical networking interoperability
demonstration. The event, conducted simultaneously in China, Japan, Germany,
Italy, France and the United States will highlight network interoperable solutions
among the participating vendors employing OIF implementation agreements in a
multi-carrier environment. The global interoperability event will include testing
of User Network Interface / UNI 2.0 Ethernet over multiple SONET / SDH transport
networks interconnected by control plane External Network-Network-Interfaces
/ E-NNI.
