G-Connect Selects Data Connection for Integrated IP Routing and MPLS Protocol Solutions
London, UK: January 24, 2005. Data Connection Limited (DCL), the world's leading
provider of communications protocol software, announced today that G-Connect Ltd. has licensed
Data Connection's integrated control plane technology which includes DC-BGP, DC-OSPF, DC-ISIS,
and DC-MPLS protocol stacks for use in G-Connect’s family of IP Service Gateway solutions.
Founded in 1981, Data Connection has developed portable routing and signaling source code
covering a wide range of technologies for over 20 years. The company's routing protocols
include a range of advanced features such as high availability operation and integrated
control plane with DC-MPLS. By implementing a unified control plane from Data Connection,
G-Connect saves engineering development and testing resources by eliminating the need to tie
disparate routing and MPLS solutions together.

solutions to the dynamic Internet market. G-Connect solutions enable network service providers
to generate an attractive portfolio of Enhanced Differentiated Services and support all
access platforms: xDSL, Wireless, Cable and dial-up. G-Connect will use the IP Routing
protocols from Data Connection in their SG-1 IP Service Creation Platform.
"The IP Routing protocols from Data Connection have proven to be robust and easily
portable. This combined with the advantages of a unified IP routing and MPLS control plane
have made our decision to go with Data Connection an easy one," said Joseph Lehmann,
CEO of G-Connect.
"G-Connect assists network operators and Internet service providers in turning
IP flows into services and profits. We are pleased that Data Connection's IP Routing
protocols play a part in such innovative offerings," said Phil McConnell, CEO
