Network Protocol Product News Update

IMS Enabling Solutions

We have recently introduced new products, and enhancements to existing products, to enable communications system vendors to develop carrier-class IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) capabilities quickly and cost-effectively. These new enhancements include

VoIP Solutions

DC-Megaco/H.248 now includes support for the ITU's H.248.1 v3 recommendation. This adds new diagnostic capabilities, such as stream level statistics, which enhance the user's ability to monitor and troubleshoot H.248 sessions. A new message segmentation package is also available, which simplifies the transmission of large packets over transports such as UDP.

During the week of April 16 DCL participated at SIPit 20 with its market leading DC-SIP and DC-SBC portable solutions. Both products continue to thrive in the industry as VoIP services have become mainstream and IMS products have started to emerge.

MPLS Solutions

Data Connection has enhanced its DC-RSVP-TE solution to include support for end-to-end (e2e) label switched path (LSP) protection and restoration as per the IETF's draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-recovery-e2e-signaling specification.

DCL's portfolio of optical control plane products, including GMPLS, O-UNI, O-NNI, and E-NNI (DDRP), will be utilized by many of the industry's optical vendors to showcase the OIF's version 2.0 specifications at the upcoming ECOC show in September.
